Assessment of learning outcomes in sustainable development
05/2014 - 12/2015
Assessment of learning outcomes in sustainable development is implemented between May 2014 and December 2015. A national test was conducted in spring 2015. The purpose of the assessment is to produce reliable information on how well the objectives concerning sustainable development in the national core curricula for vocational upper secondary education have been attained. The evaluation focuses on students who have commenced their studies in autumn 2012 and will conclude their studies in spring 2015.
The evaluation comprises ecological, economic, cultural and social aspects of sustainable development. In addition, the evaluation focuses on how the values and objectives of sustainable development are manifested in the operational systems and practices of education providers. The evaluation will also study how the key skills of lifelong learning can be evaluated in vocational education and training.
The aim is to produce information that will function as a basis for the development of education and in decision-making as well as support the education providers in the development of their operations. The education providers will receive individual feedback on the evaluation in autumn 2015.
The final report will be published in spring 2016.
