Assessment of vocational competence in the upper secondary level vocational qualification in youth and leisure instruction, processing industry and audio-visual communication

Assessment of vocational competence in the upper secondary level vocational qualification in youth and leisure instruction, processing industry and audio-visual communication will be implemented between August 2013 and June 2016. Assessment material is collected from vocational skills demonstrations and from supplementary material describing arrangement of such demonstrations.
The assessment focuses on all students who have started studying towards the vocational qualification in upper secondary vocational education and training (VET) in 2013 as well as on all units providing such VET programmes. The assessment also focuses on learning outcomes of students with special needs.
Information on grades and quantitative data on arrangement of vocational skills demonstrations will be supplemented with the self-evaluations of VET providers, site visits and students’ self-assessments. In addition, the assessment will involve analysing the vocational skills demonstration plans and the descriptions of skills demonstrations approved by the institutional bodies responsible for demonstrations will be analysed.
The final report will be published in 2017.
