Northern Lights Conference
September 27 @ 12:00 - September 28 @ 14:00
The Nordic Evaluation Network and FINEEC will organise the Northern Lights Conference on PISA and TIMSS results. The programme will focus on the last learning outcomes in the Nordic countries and a joint Nordic report ’Northern Lights on TIMSS and PISA 2018’, which will be published at the conference. This report is noteworthy as it is the only publication on PISA and TIMSS results and their background variables that makes comparisons between the Nordic countries.
Date: Thursday to Friday, 27th-28th September
Time: Thu. at 12-17.40 p.m. / Fri. at 8.45 a.m.-14 p.m.
Place: Hanaholmen Cultural Centre in Espoo, Finland
At the conference, the authors of the report and invited speakers will discuss the central themes related to PISA and TIMSS results: teacher and teacher’s role, motivation, digitalisation and socioeconomic differences. The audience is encouraged to participate in the discussion.
We look forward to welcoming principals, national education authorities, researchers and other practitioners and experts of education from the Nordic countries. The language of the conference and report is English. The conference and report are funded by the Nordic Council of Ministers.
The conference is free of charge.
