FINEEC regularly participates in the external evaluation of its operation. An external evaluation was last implemented between 2016 and 2017 and focused especially on FINEEC’s evaluation activity in higher education. However, compliance with the principles for quality assurance agencies in Europe (e.g. the goals and objectives, official status, independence and resources of the organisation) was examined in the entire organisation.
FINEEC passed the review conducted by a panel of experts appointed by the European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education (ENQA). By passing the review, FINEEC had its full membership in ENQA reconfirmed and will continue its listing in EQAR, the register of trusted European quality assurance agencies, until February 2022. According to the report of the panel of experts, FINEEC complies with the European Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (EGS 2015).
The international review panel highlighted several strengths in FINEEC’s operation, among them internationalisation, internal quality work, in-depth implementation of the principle of enhancement-led evaluation and gender equity. Wider development of stakeholder cooperation together with the entire society and representatives of the world of work was identified as an area requiring development.
