The quality of general upper secondary education in Finland is evaluated by FINEEC. Matriculation examinations provide annual up-to-date monitoring data on how students have attained the knowledge and skills in compliance with the general upper secondary school curriculum and the required maturity based on the objectives of general upper secondary education. FINEEC’s themed and system evaluations provide information on, for example, upper secondary school pedagogy or upper secondary school students’ further education abilities.
